Dear Happy Valley Families,
I wish to notify you of ___1___ positive COVID-19 case(s) in our community this week. Our nurse has identified __1__ new individual(s) this week who tested positive for COVID-19.
Due to federal laws that protect the privacy of the individual who tested positive, we are unable to share any personal identifying information about the person. However, our staff and students will continue to remain in cohort groups to minimize risks to other. In addition, we are following the recent mandate of our Governor to always wear our masks on our campus.
We report all the necessary information to Maricopa County, per our requirements. Our Facilities Team Members will continue to disinfect all areas of the campus, including potentially exposed areas by COVID-19 and have cleaned all high touchpoint surface areas.
Please continue to reinforce and practice good handwashing to help maintain the health of our community. Individuals who have symptoms of COVID-19 or who are not feeling well are asked to stay home, self-isolate, and get a test to determine if they have exposed any other individuals. Please continue to use your “at home screening tool” daily prior to coming to the campus. If a family member has symptoms of COVID, please keep your child home, as they are considered a close contact.
This is a general community notification. Anyone who is identified as a close contact to those who have tested positive, having been within six feet of a positive person for fifteen (15) non-consecutive minutes or more, will receive a separate notification from the school.
As always, if there are any additional questions, please contact our School.
Jeannine McDonald, Principal
