Happy Valley School has an “Open Enrollment Policy.” Students are eligible to attend regardless of their district of residence.
Happy Valley School is a publicly funded charter school which does not charge tuition. Full day kindergarten and bus transportation are both provided without charge. The Federal Free and Reduced Price Lunch Program is available for those who qualify. A fee is charged for the use of Before and After School Day Care, and for certain after-school programs.
When enrollment opens in January, families of returning students have priority for class placement until early February. After the deadline date, classes will be open to new students.
Enrollment is on a first come, first served basis, but is contingent on available classroom space. Families who are on the waiting list should call the school every 30 days to remain on the active list. Once an enrollment packet has been sent out, it should be completed and returned within 5 days.
The Enrollment Packet and all required documents must be completed, signed and turned in to our Registrar in order for prospective students to be on our active rolls.
Students with incomplete files will remain on the waiting list until all State requirements are fulfilled. Class placement then depends upon available classroom positions. Enrollment is final only when files are complete, the student has been tested for placement, and official notification of enrollment is given, citing no deficiencies.
To put your name on our call list regarding enrollment for your child, you may complete and submit the Enrollment Inquiry Form in person or by fax, mail, or e-mail. When this form is received in our office, your child will be added to our call list. You will be contacted for an appointment to tour the school and have your child tested.
