Since opening our doors in 2000, Happy Valley School has been committed to providing a high-quality, tuition-free public charter school education for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Located in Peoria, Arizona, we combine a strong academic foundation with character development to help students become confident learners, responsible citizens, and future leaders.

A Proven Back-to-Basics Approach

At Happy Valley, we believe every child can succeed when provided with clear instruction, high expectations, and consistent support. Our traditional, Back-to-Basics educational model focuses on building strong skills in reading, writing, and mathematics while fostering critical thinking, responsibility, and character.

Our curriculum is aligned with Arizona Academic Standards and incorporates research-based instructional practices that emphasize:

Strong foundational literacy through a comprehensive phonics-based reading program beginning in kindergarten

Personalized Learning for Every Student

We recognize that students learn at different rates and in different ways. Using assessment data and classroom performance, students are placed in learning environments that best support their academic needs. While all students receive the same core curriculum, instruction is differentiated to provide appropriate pacing, enrichment, and intervention opportunities.

This approach allows students who are ready for advanced material to be challenged while ensuring those who need additional support receive the time and instruction necessary to achieve success.

Through programs such as The 7 Habits and Gallup Strengths, students learn valuable life skills that support success both inside and outside the classroom.
