Dear HVS Families –

Yesterday, Governor Doug Ducey released a new Executive Order. The new order does not rescind Executive Order 2020-51 requiring school districts and charter schools to wear a mask in school buildings. It also does not overturn the Emergency Order from Arizona Department of Health Services AZDHS Emergency Measure 2020-04 that requires school districts to have a face-covering policy in place. Based on these orders, HVS will continue to wear face coverings in our buildings and at drop off and pick up times.

Today’s Executive Order also recommends that we continue to follow the guidance of our health department as well as the Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC). We encourage our community to receive the vaccination to support our mitigation efforts. We continue to see a decline in cases of COVID-19 in our community, and we are hopeful that our mitigation procedures continue to keep our schools a safe place to work and learn.
Thank you again for your ongoing support, as we work together to support the health and well-being of our students, staff, families, and community.

Sincerely,
Happy Valley School
