WRAT (Wide Range Ability Test) |
The WRAT measures student performance in Reading, Math and Spelling. All students take the WRAT upon entry into Happy Valley School, and again at the end of each academic year. WRAT scores in reading are used to determine initial class assignment for students within form levels. Pupils may be placed in a faster or slower paced math section outside their regular homeroom, depending upon their performance on the math portion of the WRAT and their progress in class. End-of-year WRAT scores are used in conjunction with the AIMS and TerraNova results, when available, to measure the academic growth of students each year. |
