Happy Valley contracts with a local catering company for hot lunches.
Fresh food that meets or exceeds national nutritional requirements is
delivered and served daily. Food is not cooked or prepared in our
kitchen. Milk is served with hot lunch and may also be purchased
separately if students bring their own lunch from home. We participate in the National School Lunch Program which offers lunches free or at a reduced price. Free and reduced price lunch applications are sent out at the beginning of the school year and are also available in the office at any time. Students eat lunch in the cafeteria whether they bring a lunch from home or purchase hot lunch. Hot lunch menu orders are sent home monthly with a deadline date for ordering, and lunches must be ordered and paid for in advance. All students ordering hot lunch, including children on free or reduced price lunch, must fill out a lunch order with the days marked in order to receive hot lunch. Hot lunch orders cannot be adjusted on a daily basis with our catering company. Parents are always welcome to come and have lunch with their children. If you are visiting or bringing lunch for your child, be sure you know the time your child has lunch. We have 5 different lunch periods. All visitors must sign in at the office and get a visitor’s pass. All lunch and milk orders may be paid by debit, credit, check or money order. Current month lunch order calendars/menus are available online, as well as the lunch menu for the next month.
