Happy Valley is a publically funded, privately operated charter school.

We follow all state and federal standards and requirements. All classes at each grade level use the same core curriculum which exceeds the minimum requirements of the state. Common Core/College and Career Readiness standards have always been part of our curriculum.

Kindergartens through second grade classes all have an aide in every classroom. Grades three through six share classroom aides.

Our regular curriculum includes Music, Physical Education, and Computer Technology.

Our core math curriculum varies by grade level. K – 2nd grades use Harcourt Math, and grades 3rd – 6th follow the Sadlier curriculum. Excel Math program is used as a supplement at all levels.  HVS math instruction is enriched from a wide, variety of sources including hands on activities, making learning fun!

Happy Valley does not require parents to work at school. We do have a wonderful Parent Team who welcomes any and all volunteers who want to be more involved.

Yes. Before and After Childcare is available for a fee.

At this time Happy Valley School is a K-6th grade level school, although it is possible that other grades may be added in the future.

Class sizes range from 15-35 students depending on the grade and class. Average class size is approximately 30 students.

Spanish is an enrichment lesson where vocabulary and simple conversation are introduced in the younger grades and content is broadened as students get older.
